The power of social distancing this week and the coming weeks is so important. You’re doing amazing, sweetie, so don’t give up now! But we understand that for most, the isolation is real. It can get lonely, and can be easy to spiral, but we encourage you to take frequent tea breaks during this period, have a cup of positivi-tea, and make the most of your time at home.

We’re all learning how to adjust to the new normal by practicing social distancing so we can #flattenthecurve. For those able to work from home, this means setting up a new daily routine and figuring out ways to adapt. 

Aside from WFH office hours, now is the time to get creative with how we spend our days and nights indoors. We can use this time to chill out, spend time with our families, and reset our priorities. In the spirit of staying positive and to remind everyone we’re all in this together, we’re sharing fun ways to pass the time.

Write a movie list!

Not sure what to watch this weekend while you’re social distancing? Same. There's no time like the present to create a movie list of all the films you’ve been meaning to watch. Or, a list of your all time favourite films, but haven’t had the time to watch! Have you always wanted to learn how to play an instrument but never found the time? Or kept your musical abilities on the back burner.  Well, it’s time to dust off your guitar, and play all day just like you’re Phoebe Buffay! As Einstein once said: “Life without playing music is inconceivable to me. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music... I get the most joy in life out of music”. If you’re looking to kill time, why not master the fundamentals of playing an instrument, there are plenty of youtube videos to teach you! Who knows, by the end of Lockdown you may be a musical genius! 

FaceTime or call family and friends

It’s more important than ever to check up on friends and family! Use this free time productively and reconnect with those you love. Catch up with friends you haven’t seen in a while, or cousins who live far away. You may have to social distance physically, but it’s the perfect time to connect spiritually, and digitally, whether it is on the phone, Facetime, Facebook or Instagram.
